چکیده

In the present investigation, non-recrystallization temperature (TNR) of niobium-microalloyed steel is determined to plan rolling schedules for obtaining desired properties steel. The value TNR based on both alloying elements and deformation parameters. literature, equations have been developed utilized. However, each equation has certain limitations which constrain its applicability. This study was completed using laboratory-grade low-carbon Nb-microalloyed steels designed meet API X-70 specification. Discussion on the Rate Controlling Process of Coarsening of Niobium Carbonitrides in a Niobium Microalloyed Steel

Austenite grain growth in microalloyed steels is governed by the coarsening of fine precipitates present at grain boundaries below the grain coarsening temperature. Zener model is widely used in metals to describe the pinning effect of second phase particles precipitated in the matrix. In this work it has been discussed whether grain boundary or volume diffusion is the rate controlling process ...

Isothermal Recrystallization Behavior of Cold-deformed Martensite in an Ultra-low-carbon Microalloyed Steel

One of the most promising ways to produce a grain-refined microstructure in some steel materials is the thermomechanical processing route of subcritical recrystallization annealing of a cold-deformed martensite structure. In the present study, the microstructural evolutions and the associated recrystallization kinetics under various subcritical annealing heat treatment conditions are explored i...

Interaction Between Precipitation and Dynamic Recrystallization in HSLA-100 Microalloyed Steel

Strain induced precipitation in HSLA-100 steel was investigated by conducting hotcompression and relaxation tests at temperature range of 850°C to 1100°C and strain rate of 0.001s-1 to 1s-1. The absence of dynamic recrystallization at temperatures below 1000°C was attributedto the influence of dynamic precipitation. The stress relaxation tests showed that strain inducedprecipitation is possible...

Influence of Niobium on the Beginning of the Plastic Flow of Material during Cold Deformation

Investigations were conducted on low-carbon steel and the steel with same chemical composition with addition of microalloying element niobium. While tensile testing was carried out, the thermographic measurement was tacking place simultaneously. A specific behavior of niobium microalloyed steel was noticed. Test results have shown that, in the elastic deformation region, thermoelastic effect oc...

Process modeling of microalloyed steel for near net shape casting

Strip casting is an emerging technology for flat products; it is based on the concept of near-net shape casting; it holds potential for substantial energy saving and reduction in environmentally undesirable emission. In conventional thermo-mechanical processing, the pinning pressure due to the effects of Nb and NbC on boundary mobility is used to advantage to retard static recrystallisation and...
